Ex-Officio Tax Collector
The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff serves as the tax collector for the parish, and is responsible for collecting and distributing property taxes and other fees.

Tangipahoa Parish Jail
Built in 1984, the Tangipahoa Parish Jail houses mostly pre-trial detainees and offers work programs for inmates.
