Tangipahoa Parish Jail In-Person Visitation
- Visitors must arrive 15 minutes prior to visitation time. No exceptions.
- Visitation for DOC Inmates are only allowed in 1-hour increments.
- If a DOC inmate’s DORM is not listed below, that visitation time is 2:00 PM.
- Visitation will be conducted on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month.
- Only individuals listed on an inmate's authorized "visitor list" are allowed.
- Visitors must arrive 15 minutes before the hour. No exceptions.
- A standardized “Dress Code” is strictly enforced (These standards apply equally to men, women and children):
- The following items are strictly PROHIBITED. NO EXCEPTIONS
- 1. Any clothing similar to that of a Corrections Officer.
- 2. Transparent clothing, swimming or bathing suits.
- 3. Skirts, shorts, culottes, and dresses that are above the knee.
- 4. Low cut blouses, strapless, tube/halter tops, tank tops, drifts.
- 5. Spandex, Lycra, or spandex type clothing.
- 6. Exposed underwear and undergarments.
- 7. Revealing clothing, clothing with holes over one inch.
- 8. Gang or club related clothing with insignia indicative of gang affiliations.
- 9. Clothing or accessories with offensive or profane writing, images, or pictures.
- 10. House slippers or shower shoes.
- Authorized footwear must be worn at all times.
